In Gen 6, EV cap was changed to 252 from 255, so now I am showing the way to do it in FireRed & Emerald,
This is the method to change the EV cap to anything you want,
FireRed
Emerald
Where XX, is the hex number you want as the cap(0xFC if you want 252).
This is the method to change the EV cap to anything you want,
FireRed
0x439FC and 0x43A02 to XX
Emerald
0x6DC48 and 0x6DC4E to XX
